A High School Career Comes to an End

While everybody is disappointed John's high school baseball career came to an end three games earlier than we wanted lets not forget all the accomplishments him and his team made over the last 4 years. Several Tournament wins during their JV and varsity careers, state runner up in Colt league, beating the number 1 or 2 ranked team in the districts their sophomore year, a quarter final appearance in their junior year and a regional runner up in their senior year. How many high school baseball players would like to have that record? Let's all be proud of what this team accomplished over the last 4 years and the memories they and us will have for a lifetime.

It all starts their freshman year in Breckenridge with a tournament win.

There is the pitching career with many more wins than loses. You start by staring down the batter....

And then throwing the pitch......

See Katie isn't the only that sticks her tongue out while playing ball...

And his final pitches in the districts last weekend....

There were some plays made in the field too...

Oh he had his miscues too..........

Even pitchers have to make plays....

But when the time came for plays to be made he was always ready.....

The hardest thing to do in all of sports is hit a baseball and when he wasn't watching stikes go by he could hit the ball.....even though it might be a foul ball....

But every now and then he did connect.....

And when it is all over you have the 2008 district champs and memories...........

Plus game balls for the winning pitchers......
